Slant/Fin Error Hold 91 / Hold 92 / Hold 95: Sensor fault — inlet

A temperature sensor is disconnected or out of range. Hold 91 = inlet sensor (bottom of heat exchanger), Hold 92 = outlet sensor (top of heat exchanger; it contains two sensors), Hold 95 = stack sensor (at the flue pipe inside the cabinet). Documented causes: disconnected sensor or a faulty sensor whose resistance doesn't match the thermistor chart (Table 15-2).   • Sensor wiring disconnected at the sensor or at the control board

What you can safely check

  • Note which sensor number is shown for the technician (inlet 91, outlet 92, stack 95)
  • Check for obviously loose or disconnected sensor plugs if easily visible
